House Reset

I graduated nursing school this past week…but that means for the last 2 years my house has been on the back burner! I created this house reset list to help keep myself on track & completing tasks that need done without feeling overwhelmed and burnt out! I thought it could help someone else too! #resetideas #reset #momtips #cleaningmotivation #housereset

... Read moreAfter finishing nursing school and focusing on my studies for two years, I found my home was seriously overdue for a deep reset. I can really relate to feeling overwhelmed when faced with a large cleaning task, so I developed a realistic approach that made the process manageable and even enjoyable. The key is breaking the house reset into simple, clear steps, much like the checklist I created. For example, starting with laundry helps clear out one major task early and creates a sense of accomplishment. Then moving on to quickly clearing trash and doing a sweep in every room keeps momentum going without the pressure to organize everything perfectly at once. In the kitchen, focusing on clearing the sink and wiping surfaces before diving into dishes or organization made the space instantly more inviting. I also found that reclaiming a clean seating space to relax in motivated me to keep going. For bathrooms and kids’ rooms, quick wipe-downs and clearing walking paths made a big difference in making the home feel more functional without exhausting myself. Scheduling short cleaning intervals, like 25 minutes of work followed by a 10-minute break with coffee, helped maintain energy and prevent burnout. Lighting a candle or spraying a fresh scent at the end of the day created a peaceful atmosphere that made the effort feel worthwhile. This house reset routine doesn’t aim for perfection but rather a refreshed rhythm that fits into a busy lifestyle. If you’re feeling overwhelmed after a long busy period, try incorporating these doable steps into your daily routine. You’ll notice your home feels lighter and more peaceful in no time, and you’ll regain a sense of control and calm. Remember, small consistent actions unlock big transformations!
