Summer Hair 🫶
Having experienced many hair challenges during summer, I’ve found that the key to maintaining beautiful summer hair is protection and hydration. The sun, chlorine, and saltwater can easily dry out your hair, leading to frizz and breakage. To keep your hair healthy, I always start by using a leave-in conditioner with UV protection. This helps shield my hair from harmful rays and lock in moisture. On days when I spend a lot of time outdoors or at the beach, I make sure to wear a wide-brimmed hat or a scarf as an extra layer of protection. After swimming, rinsing hair immediately with fresh water helps minimize damage from chlorine and salt. Another game-changer is incorporating weekly deep conditioning treatments to restore any lost moisture. Styling-wise, I keep it simple and comfortable. Loose braids, beach waves, or a high bun help manage frizz and reduce heat styling. Avoiding heavy products is also important in summer, as they can weigh hair down and attract dirt and sweat. In my experience, lightweight serums or hair oils applied sparingly can add shine and tame flyaways. Creating a consistent summer hair routine can turn a potentially bad hair day into a confident and stylish summer hair day. Remember, healthy hair is happy hair, especially in the heat!
