Pride is still needed because the fight for equity for LGBTQ+ people is far from over.

Pride honors the history of the Stonewall Uprising, celebrates the accomplishments of LGBTQ+ individuals, and remembers those lives lost to hate crimes, violence, and HIV/AIDS.

Pride is a celebration, a commemoration, and a symbol of advocacy.

... Read moreHaving participated in various Pride events over the years, I have come to realize how much Pride represents far more than a celebration. It is a powerful reminder that despite significant progress, issues such as discrimination, hate crimes, and unequal rights for LGBTQ+ individuals persist worldwide. Pride events serve as a platform for visibility and foster a sense of community and belonging for people who have historically been marginalized. I recall attending a Pride march that paid tribute to the Stonewall Uprising, which was a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history. Understanding this history deepened my appreciation of how Pride is not just a festival but also a form of resistance and advocacy. It honors those who bravely stood up against oppression and laid the groundwork for the rights many enjoy today. Moreover, Pride is a time to remember those lost to violence and AIDS, reinforcing the ongoing need for awareness and support. Collaborations among advocates, healthcare professionals, and therapists, like those mentioned in the article, highlight the importance of holistic support for the community. Mental health, acceptance, and safety remain crucial concerns that Pride helps bring to light. In my experience, Pride also fosters educational opportunities, encouraging allies and the broader public to learn about LGBTQ+ experiences. This helps reduce stigma and promote inclusivity. Celebrating achievements within the LGBTQ+ community—from arts and culture to political milestones—provides inspiration and hope for future generations. Ultimately, Pride is a symbol of ongoing advocacy. It reminds us that equity is a continuous journey requiring vigilance and collective effort. Whether by participating in local events or engaging in conversations, everyone can contribute to making society more just and affirming for LGBTQ+ people.

A hardened heart isn’t just rebellion—sometimes it’s the result of hurt, disappointment, pride, or repeatedly ignoring God’s voice. One thing I learned today: a soft heart says, “God, I need You.” A hard heart says, “God, I got this.” Lord, keep my heart tender, teachable, and responsive to Y

June is Pride Month🌈
Before it became a celebration, before the parades, before the rainbow-colored posts across social media, Pride was—and still is—about resistance. It honors the people who were silenced, excluded, and persecuted simply for loving who they love and being who they are. It reminds us that living

I opened up Proverbs 16 today just looking for a little wisdom, and man… it really checked me. Like, every doubt, every thought swirling in my head, it was like God was laying it all out for me in order. First, Proverbs 16:9 hit me like yeah, I can plan all I want, but at the end of the day, God
