It’s a girl thing.
Navigating the feeling of being trapped is a common experience many girls face, often symbolized by 'multiple doors between me and freedom.' From my personal experience, these doors can represent societal expectations, peer pressure, or self-doubt. Each door might seem like a barrier, but each also holds a potential key for growth and liberation. One effective way to overcome this feeling is to recognize what each 'door' represents in your life. Is it fear of failure? Lack of support? Cultural norms? By identifying these challenges, you can begin to address them one step at a time. For example, surrounding yourself with supportive friends and mentors can feel like unlocking a door you once thought was sealed. Another important aspect is self-expression. Allowing yourself to embrace your true interests and personality can be incredibly freeing. I found that engaging in creative outlets such as writing, art, or music helped me break down emotional barriers and discover who I truly am. Lastly, practicing self-compassion during times of struggle is crucial. It's okay to feel stuck sometimes — acknowledging these feelings without judgment is a step toward personal growth and freedom. Remember that every girl’s journey is unique, but by sharing experiences and supporting each other, we can open more doors together toward empowerment and freedom.
