This isn't normally the type of posts people make but im making it anyway.

A couple days ago my cousin Trevor was in a severe motorcycle accident, which has now left him intubated in ICU for 3 days. he has no short term disability and due to his accident, his wife (my cousin Tisa) is unable to start working at her new job.

My mom has organized a gofundme to try and help them pay their bills while Trevor is out of work, im not asking people to give their money, just share if possible, it means alot to us all.

... Read moreWhen unexpected tragedies like severe motorcycle accidents strike, families often face not just emotional distress but significant financial hardships as well. Intubation and extended ICU care, like Trevor's three-day stay, can lead to mounting medical bills and loss of income, especially when the injured person has no short-term disability coverage. Additionally, a spouse or family member, such as Trevor's wife Tisa, may face delays or difficulties in starting employment, compounding the financial strain. During such challenging times, community support can be invaluable. Organizing or sharing crowdfunding campaigns like GoFundMe helps raise crucial funds to cover medical expenses, daily bills, and other necessities. Even if donating isn't possible, sharing these campaigns spreads awareness and can connect those in need to a wider audience willing to help. It's important to recognize the emotional impact on families as well. Besides financial support, offering kindness, messages of encouragement, or practical help (such as meals or errands) can greatly assist those coping with recovery and caregiving responsibilities. If you or someone you know is facing a similar crisis, consider exploring resources such as local support groups, nonprofit organizations specializing in accident recovery aid, and government assistance programs. These options can provide additional layers of support during recovery periods. Lastly, riding motorcycles safely—including wearing helmets and protective gear, following traffic laws, and staying alert—can reduce the risk of accidents. Encouraging loved ones to practice safe riding habits contributes to preventing such life-altering events. Remember, community and compassion play pivotal roles in helping families heal and rebuild after sudden accidents.

its been a hot minute but I figured I would give a update: Trevor made it home safe and alive in early December, surpassing every goal his doctors set for him by a mile! My cousin and the rest of our family are so grateful for everything and hoping for the best
