when it's lunchtime for my #chicken Betty
#CapCut Betty is a beautiful hen that is up in age. The rooster is picking on her. So I brought her in the house thinking it was for a day or two. She has now been in the house for 2 weeks.
First thing she does in the morning is come out of her kennel, goes outside and she eats and goes to the bathroom. I'm not saying she never goes to the bathroom💩 on my floor, cuz it happens 🤣🤣
I have 10 hens and a Roo. They sure keep the bugs around here down. We live in Minnesota so we have a lot of woodticks also, The chickens are great about keeping the yard cleaned up of them.
My dog gypsy absolutely loves her. they sit together on the couch in the evenings. We're getting used to having Betty around. we will miss her when her time is up.

Incorporating chickens into your life can be a rewarding experience. Chickens not only provide fresh eggs but also help with pest control, making them valuable companions for gardeners. It's essential to ensure that your chickens feel safe and comfortable, especially as they age. Proper care, including good nutrition and a safe environment, is crucial for their wellbeing. As Betty enjoys her cozy time indoors and the companionship of our dog, the bond we share highlights the joy of having pets in our homes. Remember, regular check-ups and addressing any health concerns can enhance their quality of life. Many chicken owners share similar stories of affection and the unique personalities of their birds, proving that these farm animals can truly become beloved family members.
