Ready To Meet A Monster?
More than a year and so many ups and downs later, Envious is fully drafted and is now with my alpha reader!
Writing my first book was easier because it wasn't real yet. When I wrote The Songbird's Shadow, I didn't have anyone waiting to read it and if I'm really honest, I wasn't even sure I'd be able to write an entire book. But when I started writing Envious, it was a whole different game because there were readers out there who loved my first book and wanted to read my next one. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get this book finished while also managing being working full time, then being laid off, then starting a new job that's higher stress than the last. But you know what? I F*CKING DID IT!
I hope you're ready for something new from me because Envious is something different than Songbird and I'm so excited to share it with you all. More news (including its release date) is coming very soon!

Writing a sequel like Envious after a successful debut novel brings a mix of excitement and pressure. From personal experience, transitioning from drafting to alpha and beta reading phases is not just about refining plot points but deeply connecting with the characters, especially in a genre as emotionally charged as dark paranormal romance. What makes monster romance stories compelling is not just the supernatural elements but the emotional scars and human vulnerabilities that heroes and heroines bring to the table. Fans of paranormal and monster romances often crave that slow burn—where tension builds gradually while the characters' haunted pasts and intense bargains shape their futures. Envious is said to feature a haunted female main character (FMC) and a demon male main character (MMC), promising a dark and twisted love story with a healthy dose of monstrous spice. This mix creates an intricate dynamic where love, danger, and emotional growth collide. Balancing writing with life's ups and downs, such as job changes or stress, echoes a real-life struggle many indie authors face. This makes the achievement of completing Envious even more inspiring for readers who support indie authors and enjoy witnessing their passion projects come alive. Sharing journey updates, like moving from drafting to receiving ARC (advance reading copies), builds anticipation and fosters a community eager for release news. For readers who enjoyed The Songbird's Shadow, Envious offers a fresh perspective and promises something different yet equally captivating. Keep an eye on the release announcements and prepare to meet a monster in this dark, emotional, and spellbinding tale that pushes genre boundaries while staying deeply personal and heartfelt.
