Part 3 of Easter Weekend Shopping!
One of the good things about marrying my husband he helped me to be more healthy in what I eat and with that try new things! So now I actually try to make new things! And that’s why it feels like my grocery hauls doesn’t end! @JobLot @Capcut Templates #part3 #bulkshopping #easterweekend #lemon8groceryshopping
During this Easter weekend shopping haul, I really embraced the chance to experiment with healthier ingredients, especially thanks to my husband’s influence on our eating habits. One standout item was the whole wheat dough, which I use to make homemade tortillas. This wasn’t just any dough, but the Indian variety that uses yeast and can be transformed into a variety of baked goods, not just tortillas. It’s a great alternative to store-bought wraps and adds a wholesome touch to meals. I also picked up mung beans (mung hole), which have become a staple in my kitchen. They’re incredibly versatile—I soak them for 24 hours and then either enjoy them plain, in salads, or cooked into curries. Mung beans are packed with protein and nutrients, making them a fantastic base for healthy, satisfying dishes. Incorporating them regularly has improved my energy and digestion. To maintain good hair health, I grabbed some Amala oil, which I use regularly for hydration and scalp care. This natural oil has made a visible difference in my hair’s softness and shine. Since I’m not sure when I'll be back in India to restock, I opted to buy bigger bottles and keep smaller ones handy. For snack time, I chose Britannia sugar-free digestive cookies, which my husband loves having with his coffee. These cookies are a mindful choice when satisfying a sweet tooth without the guilt. Coffee and cookies have become a morning ritual in our home, adding comfort and a moment to unwind. Shopping in bulk at places like Job Lot not only helps me stock up on these favorites but also saves time and money. I’m planning to continue exploring new healthful ingredients and recipe ideas based on what I find. Overall, this haul reflects how small changes and thoughtful food choices can support a healthier lifestyle while keeping meals delicious and interesting. If you’re considering healthier bulk shopping, I encourage trying whole wheat dough and mung beans—they might just become staples in your kitchen too!
