Personality Rebrand

✨ When I was 12, I wrote a poem about how I felt like an outsider with my peers and I got so much praise for it. You’d think this would be something I’d lean into, and would be the origin story of a broke artist. If that’s what you’re expecting you’re sadly mistaken.

🩵 All the “praise” turned me so intensely far away from it actually because often times, poems are sad; or about really deep things. So to be successful I thought I’d have to be sad all the time. This realization pushed me towards a goal of wanting to be as shallow as a kids pool, and an overall lighter person.

🌝Fast forward 11 years. Definitely glad I didn’t pursue a career in writing, or art. But unfortunately I am sad most of the time, my childhood was complicated, and people see the nice version of me, and get annoyed when they find out the person under it all honestly has a lot going on.

🌞I often looked at my friends who had more niched personalities and applauded them, because even if they had less people approaching them overall, the people who did usually were slam dunks because what you saw and assumed you’d be buying is exactly what you got.

🥸 I’m unsure what this rebrand will exactly look like yet. But I implore you to look at the image you’re presenting to the people in your life, and see if it’s actually serving you in a fulfilling way.

A personality rebrand involves more than just a change of image; it requires a deep introspection of one's values and beliefs. Many individuals grapple with the dichotomy between how they wish to be perceived and who they truly are. This discrepancy can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction and confusion, similar to the complexities discussed in the article. Recognizing the image you project is essential for personal growth. It's vital to reflect on whether this image aligns with your true self or serves merely as a façade to gain acceptance. To embark on a successful rebrand, consider conducting a personal inventory. What traits do you admire in others? What aspects of your personality feel authentic? Seek to embody qualities that resonate with your true self. Additionally, setting boundaries with those who expect you to conform to a particular image can protect your emotional well-being. Surrounding yourself with supportive individuals who encourage self-expression can also foster an environment conducive to personal growth. Ultimately, the goal is to cultivate a persona that feels genuine and fulfilling, aligning external perceptions with internal truths. A personality rebrand can lead to deeper connections with others, more genuine interactions, and a greater sense of purpose. Embrace the journey of self-discovery and strive for authenticity in all aspects of life.
