👋 hello guys so I saw this tiktok raving about this place and decided to try mainly to use my ✅ cdc voucher HEHEHEHE but little did i expect this place to be so BUSSIN like there were long queues forming and tourists alsoooo 😆 maybe cos they were just added onto the ✅ michelin bib gourmand

📍Address: Da Shi Jia Big Prawn Mee

this place is a 5 mins walk from somerset mrt❗️

1️⃣ wok-fried been hoon 🍜

THIS WAS LEGENDARY i will come back just for this guys like the umami-ness and taste from the prawn was so good and i expected it to be dry cos wok-fried but no it came in its own soup…the prawns were rlly fresh and also super easy to peel…the chili they provided also gave it an extra kick 🌶️ there was also a side of prawn soup 👍👍

2️⃣ prawn noodles 🦐

my friend got the soup version and it was ok (?) like the soup is on the lighter side which we didn’t expect but the shrimps were also very fresh 😊

🗒️ note:

ok so some things to note is that they do not take reservations but there will be queues!! so go during off-peak times i guess… but somehow my friend and i managed to skip alot of ppl because we were 2 ppl HAHAHAHA

... Read moreIf you're planning a visit to Da Shi Jia Big Prawn Mee, here are some tips from my experience to help you enjoy your meal even more. First, the prices are quite reasonable considering the Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition and the quality of ingredients. For example, the wok-fried large prawn bee hoon costs around $17.80, with no service charge but GST included. Pairing your meal with a canned green tea or iced honey lemon drink, priced between $2.50 and $3.50, complements the flavors well. Since reservations aren’t accepted, it’s best to go during off-peak hours to avoid long queues. The restaurant is very popular among tourists and locals, especially after its inclusion in the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore 2025 list. Visiting with just two people might help you skip some of the crowd, as we managed to do! The prawn noodles come in soup and dry versions. The dry wok-fried bee hoon surprised me with its rich umami flavor and fresh, easy-to-peel prawns served in a savory broth. The chili on the side adds a nice spicy kick if you’re into heat. Meanwhile, the soup prawn noodles have a lighter broth but still deliver fresh prawn flavors. Aside from the main dishes, you might find fish cake slices and kway teow options on the menu. The combination of textures and flavors really highlights why Da Shi Jia has become a Michelin-recognized eatery. For the location, it’s just a five-minute walk from Somerset MRT, making it very convenient to get to. The restaurant’s atmosphere is bustling and lively, typical for a beloved hawker-style place with Michelin recognition. In summary, Da Shi Jia Big Prawn Mee offers a top-notch prawn noodle experience that’s worth trying—especially if you have a CDC voucher to use. It’s a gem for those seeking authentic, flavorful Singapore hawker food with Michelin prestige.
