Hey everyone! So, if you're anything like me, you've probably heard about Path of Titans and thought, "This looks awesome!" Well, I jumped in, and let me tell you, it's been an adventure already. My first big lesson? Sometimes, curiosity (or pure silliness) gets the better of you. I had a moment recently where I told my friend, "I'm about to divebomb this EO!" She warned me I'd die, but hey, it sounded funny. And guess what? I did die. Instant "Returning to Character Selection" screen! But honestly, it was funny, and those kinds of moments are what make this game so great. Beyond the hilarious mishaps, a huge part of the fun in Path of Titans is exploring and finding all the cool stuff the world has to offer. I've been trying to get better at scavenging for resources and learning the map, and it's been a game-changer for my dino's survival. Let me share some of the things I've learned about finding useful items and locations around the map, which hopefully helps you avoid some of my early struggles (and deaths!). Finding Those Elusive Shelf Mushrooms One of the first things I learned to look for were shelf mushrooms. They're a decent food source, especially when you're just starting out or playing a smaller herbivore. From my experience, you'll often find these growing on the sides of cliffs, large rocks, and tree trunks, particularly in more forested or mountainous regions. They tend to blend in a bit, so you really have to slow down and scan your surroundings. I remember spending ages looking for them, only to realize I’d been running right past clusters of them! My tip? Check the undersides of overhangs and shadowed areas – they seem to love those damp spots. The Magic of Glow Mushrooms Glow mushrooms are probably my favorite discovery so far, not just because they're food, but because they look super cool at night! These vibrant fungi truly light up the darker areas of the map, making nighttime foraging a bit easier and much more atmospheric. I've had the best luck finding glow mushrooms in caves, under dense canopies, and in rocky crevices where sunlight doesn't reach much. They're a staple for many herbivores, so knowing your local glow mushroom patches is a real lifesaver. Plus, stumbling upon a cave full of them at dusk is just a beautiful experience; almost makes up for when I get ambushed by a predator right after! Navigating with Waystones Waystones are an absolute must-know for anyone playing Path of Titans. These ancient-looking stone structures are your fast-travel points across the massive map. When you find one, make sure to walk up to it to activate it. Once activated, you can teleport between any other waystone you've discovered (for a small growth cost, usually). Seriously, these save so much time and can get you out of a sticky situation if you're being chased across the map. I've used waystones to reunite with friends, escape predators, or just quickly get to a different biome to find specific resources. Knowing the locations of key waystones near your favorite spots or dens is crucial. It’s like having a personal express train across the prehistoric world! Hunting for Tiger Nuts For some of the smaller, ground-dwelling herbivores, or just for a quick snack, tiger nuts are a great find. These little tubers are usually found in grassy, open areas, often near water sources like rivers or lakes. They're not as visually striking as the mushrooms, so you need to keep your eyes peeled to spot them on the ground. I've had success foraging for them by slowly sweeping through fields, especially where other ground vegetation is sparse. They provide a decent chunk of nutrients and are generally pretty safe to gather, as you're not usually venturing into deep, predator-infested forests. It’s a good, reliable food source for sustainable grazing. Exploring Path of Titans is a never-ending journey of discovery, high-stakes encounters, and yes, sometimes hilarious "returning to character selection" moments. But learning the map and knowing where to find essential resources like shelf mushrooms, glow mushrooms, waystones, and tiger nuts makes the whole experience so much more rewarding.
