I usually start by decluttering, sorting everything into piles: things to keep, donate, or throw away. This makes organizing much simpler afterward. Next, I dust all surfaces and clean windows to let in more light, which instantly brightens the space and boosts my mood. Vacuuming or sweeping the floor follows, giving the room a fresh look and feel. I also focus on bed linens, changing them weekly to maintain a clean and comfortable sleeping area. One tip I found especially helpful is setting a timer for short cleaning bursts — like 15 or 20 minutes — which keeps me from feeling overwhelmed and helps maintain focus. Over time, doing these quick sessions regularly means less time is needed for big cleanups. Using labeled storage boxes or organizers keeps everything in its place and reduces clutter build-up. Plus, playing some upbeat music during cleaning makes the process more enjoyable and less of a chore. Overall, turning room cleaning into a routine and using simple methods has not only improved the cleanliness and comfort of my space but also positively impacted my daily productivity and well-being.
