There is a shrine in Hiji-cho, Oita Prefecture, a town with a thousand-year history ⛩✨
That is Hidewakamiya Hachiman Shrine.
Tentoku 3 years (959), this shrine was founded by welcoming two pillars from Tsushima Yatsushima Daimyojin Shrine, one of the oldest venerable shrines in Hiji-cho.
In the 7th year of Kenkyu (1196), Otomo Yoshinao, the governor of Bungo Province, built a shrine and was deeply revered as one of the seven Bungo shrines 💫

The sculpture of flowers and birds on the heavy beams is truly an art. It is a high-class structure with a dressing room and is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Hiji Town ✨
In the precincts, there are stone lanterns and torii gates dedicated by the feudal lord, and the names of "Toyotomi" such as "Toshiyasu Toyotomi" and "Toshiatsu Toyotomi" are engraved there.
This is a proof that the Kinoshita family of the Hiji Domain is a member of the Toyotomi family.
However, the first torii gate of Nobutoshi KINOSHITA had the word "Toyotomi" instead of "Toyotomi 🤫
This is said to be a consideration for the shogunate during the Tokugawa period, when the Toyotomi family was still in ruins.

日出町で「日出 神社」や「大分県神社」を探していると、まず候補に入れたいのが日出若宮八幡神社。駅から近いのに、参道に入った瞬間ふっと空気が変わって、旅先の“寄り道参拝”にちょうどいい場所でした。 私がいちばん惹かれたのは、やっぱり楼門。正面から見ると迫力があって、梁や彫刻の情報量に目が追いつきません…！門の中には随神像が安置されていて、格子越しに見る穏やかな表情に思わず足が止まりました。楼門→参道→拝殿へと進む導線もきれいで、石畳の先に本殿が見えてくる瞬間が小さなクライマックスです。 境内では石灯籠や鳥居の刻銘もぜひチェック。藩主奉納のものが残り、「豊臣」の名が刻まれているのが日出らしさだなと感じました。歴史を知ってから見ると、“祈りの砦”という言葉がしっくりきます。 「日出若宮八幡神社 お守り」が気になる人向けに、私の参拝メモも。社務所が開いている時間帯に行くのが安心です（行事日や季節で変わることもあるので、遠方なら事前確認推奨）。授与品は、まずは定番のお守り・お札・御朱印の流れで見ていくと迷いにくい印象。私は“旅の安全”と“日々の守り”の気持ちで選びました。お願い事がはっきりしている人は、交通安全・健康・厄除けなど目的を決めてから見ると選びやすいと思います。 周辺の雰囲気も良くて、瓦屋根の町並みの向こうに海と山が見える景色がきれいでした。参拝のあとは少し歩いて、海風を感じながら帰るのもおすすめ。 ※ちなみに「葛飾天満宮」は別の神社名なので、検索で混ざって出てきた場合は場所（都道府県）を確認すると迷いにくいです。日出町での神社巡りなら、まずは“日出若宮八幡神社（大分県日出町）”を目印にするとスムーズでした。
