It is a very nice shrine standing quietly in a residential area ✨

The main god here is the brave Emperor Ojin ⛩️!

And Sugawara Michizane, who is familiar as the god of learning, is also enshrined 🎓✨

Mysterious Horizontal Tenmangu Shrine? Immediately to the left of the worship hall, there is a splendid Tenmangu Shrine built sideways for some reason 👀 a little strange arrangement 😂

Furthermore, in the left back, there are small precinct shrines (sub-shrines) collected from various places in the village in the Meiji era 🏠✨

Doita is the origin of the place name!?

The place name of Shikido is said to have started when the god got off at this place on a deer and the deer hurt his foot 🦌💦 the villagers who saw it laid a door board from the house and dedicated kagura 😲

The area where Shikito Shrine is located is actually a place with a very deep history 📜✨ In the past, it was an important place near the national government of Bungo Province, so it has a history of being hit by wars... However, it is a shrine with strong vitality that has been carefully rebuilt by the local people 🔥

There are also festivals in spring (March 22) and autumn (October 15) 🏮

敷戸神社は、観光客だけでなく地元の人々からも愛されている神社です。私も実際に訪れた際、住宅街の中にひっそりと佇む神社の雰囲気に心が和みました。神社に祀られている応神天皇は武の神として知られ、また学問の神様である菅原道真公も一緒に祀られているため、学びや仕事、人生の節目に訪れる方が多いのも納得です。特に敷戸神社の独特な特徴として、本殿に対して横向きに建てられた天満宮があります。この配置は珍しく、歴史的にも興味深いポイントです。明治時代に地域の他の神社から集められた多くの小さな末社が並ぶ境内も見どころの一つで、地域の歴史や信仰が感じられました。敷戸の地名由来となった鹿にまつわる伝説も、地域の人の温かさと神への敬意を物語っています。神様を迎えるためにお家から戸板を敷いたという話は、訪れる人に親しみやすさと神聖さを同時に感じさせてくれます。また、この神社がある大分市鴛野エリアは、昔は豊後国の国府が近く、戦国時代には戦火を受けながらも地域の人々が何度も再建した強い生命力の象徴でもあります。心静かに過ごせるだけでなく、歴史に触れることができる場所として訪問価値が高いです。春（3月22日）と秋（10月15日）の祭りは活気があり、地域の文化や伝統を体験できます。参拝だけでなく季節の行事にも参加すると、より神社の魅力を感じられるでしょう。私の経験では、敷戸神社はパワースポットとしてもおすすめで、学問の神様のご利益を願う学生や社会人、武運を祈る人々に特に人気です。訪問の際は、ゆっくり境内を散策し、神聖な空気を感じる時間を持つことをおすすめします。
