私が若宮八幡宮 森天神社を訪れた際、まず感じたのは乙津川の存在が神社の歴史とどれほど深く結びついているかということです。川の水の流れが神社の運命を左右し、河川改修によって神社自体が移転するという珍しい経験を経て、この神社が現在の姿となったことに感銘を受けました。 また、鎌倉から勧請されたという大鷦鷯尊の御分霊は、八幡信仰が豊後国に根付いた証でもあり、歴史の重みを実感しました。森天神社との歴史的な合祀によって生まれた若宮八幡宮 森天神社は、ひとつの場所で二つの伝統が息づいている貴重な神社です。 境内の鳥居をくぐると、長い時間と川の流れが育んだ神聖な空気に包まれ、心穏やかになりました。私は地元の方々が日常的に訪れて祈りを捧げる姿を見て、地域の人々にとってどれほど大 切な場所かを実感しました。 大分市での神社巡りの際は、この若宮八幡宮 森天神社もぜひ訪れるべきスポットです。乙津川の歴史や環境とともに祈りの場が形を変えながらも守られてきた事実を知り、地元の文化と自然の共生に深く感動しました。
