IM NOT READY FOR SCHOOL 😭
Okay, deep breaths everyone! Like many of you, I've been dreading the school countdown. It feels like summer just started, and now suddenly, those 'how many more days until school' searches are popping up everywhere. I even saw a search result screenshot showing '10 days' until August 13, 2025! For some, it might be even sooner, like August 3rd. That’s hardly any time at all to mentally prepare, let alone actually get ready! So, if you're like me and wondering 'how many days until August 3rd' or 'how many days until August 13th', you're not alone. The exact number depends on today's date, of course, but that screenshot was a real wake-up call. It's time to shift from summer mode to back-to-school prep mode, even if we're not quite ready. Here’s what I’m personally doing to make the most of these last few days: 1. The "Must-Have" School Supplies Check: Before hitting the stores, I always go through my old school bag. What notebooks are half-used? Do I still have enough pens? Are my highlighters dried out? Making a list helps me avoid overspending and only buying what I truly need. Plus, ticking things off makes me feel productive! 2. Rebuilding My Sleep Schedule (Slowly!): This is the hardest part for me. Late-night movies and morning lie-ins have been my summer routine. I’m trying to shift my bedtime back by 15-30 minutes each night, and setting an earlier alarm, just to ease into that school-day rhythm. It prevents that first-week exhaustion. 3. Planning Outfits & Backpack Organization: I like to pick out a few outfits for the first week, so I don't have to scramble each morning. And cleaning out my backpack? Game-changer. Getting rid of old papers, crumbs, and forgotten snacks makes it feel fresh and ready for new adventures (and textbooks!). 4. Mental Prep & Goal Setting: It's not just about the physical stuff. I take some time to think about what I want to achieve this school year. Better grades in a certain subject? Joining a new club? Setting small, realistic goals makes the return to school feel less like a chore and more like a fresh start. It helps me embrace the 'how many more days until school' countdown as an opportunity. 5. Connecting with Friends: Knowing I’ll see my friends again makes the transition easier. We usually chat about our summer breaks and what we're looking forward to (or dreading!) about the upcoming year. It's a great way to build excitement and feel less alone. Whether your countdown is for August 3rd, August 13th, or any other date, remember that you’re not the only one feeling a mix of emotions. Just take it one day at a time, check off those to-dos, and we'll all get through this back-to-school transition together! Let’s make these '10 days' (or whatever your number is!) count!
