Starbucks Horchata Shaken Espresso

6/4 Edited to

... Read moreI recently tried recreating the Starbucks Horchata Shaken Espresso at home using Nescafé instant espresso, particularly opting for the Blonde roast version. The result was surprisingly satisfying and gave me a great alternative to the usual store-bought options. The combination of espresso's rich bitterness with the sweet, cinnamon-infused horchata creates a unique flavor profile that is both energizing and refreshing. When making this at home, I found that using instant espresso made it more convenient and quicker to prepare without sacrificing the espresso boldness. To replicate the Starbucks style, I mixed the instant espresso with milk and a homemade horchata base—typically made from rice milk mixed with cinnamon and a bit of vanilla or sugar. Shaking the mixture vigorously is key to achieving that frothy texture Starbucks is known for, and it really elevates the flavor by blending all ingredients smoothly. If you’re a fan of Starbucks horchata shaken espresso or just enjoy experimenting with coffee drinks, this DIY approach with Nescafé is definitely worth trying. Whether you are looking to reduce café visits or simply want to customize your drink sweetness and strength, making your own horchata shaken espresso offers flexibility and fun. Plus, it allows using pantry staples like instant espresso. I recommend adjusting the amount of cinnamon and milk to suit your taste preference. This drink pairs perfectly with a light snack or as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. Give it a go and enjoy a delicious twist on a Starbucks classic right in your kitchen!
