A day as a wedding photographer at the Ritz 🤍

2025/1/9 Edited to

... Read moreWedding photography is more than just taking pictures; it's about telling a story on one of the most important days in a couple's life. As a wedding photographer at a prestigious venue like The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, I immerse myself in the beauty of the surroundings, capturing intimate moments and grand celebrations. During the day, my focus shifts between various tasks. I prioritize getting to know the couple and their preferences, ensuring I photograph their special moments in a style that resonates with them, be it candid, traditional, or artistic. Bridal preparations offer a world of emotions, laughter, and anticipation, while the ceremony is filled with love and connection. Post-ceremony, the reception is where I grab those vibrant shots, showcasing the excitement, decor, and guest interactions. Venue presentation in photos is also crucial; The Ritz-Carlton provides stunning backdrops, which enriches the visual storytelling of the day. Beyond the images themselves, understanding the flow of a wedding day is essential. It helps me maneuver through groups efficiently, ensuring everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. The ability to blend in while remaining attentive allows for the capture of genuine moments without interference. Ultimately, every wedding has its unique touches and details, and I aim to highlight those elements, helping couples relive their day through my lens for years to come. Through my work, I hope to inspire future brides and grooms to consider their ideal wedding photography style and choice of venue, setting the tone for their unique celebration.

10 Questions to Ask Your Wedding Photographer
1. Can we see full galleries? This is probably the most important one. You want to look at two or three full galleries to make sure the photographers style and vision align with your own. You also want to look for consistency in their portfolio so you aren’t surprised when you get your photos back
