When the war begins... will the port survive?
Jam is one of the people who has the idea of investing long-term, having to invest as much in U.S. stocks, with many of the stocks we know and large stocks, so he pours 80% into the portfolio without thinking much because he believes that it is where "security" can make our portfolio grow in the future.
Until this happened, over the past several weeks, the news of the Iran-US-Israel war spread throughout the Middle East, hitting global oil very hard. Increased international tensions began to feel, "Are we tying everything to one place?" If the United States had a big problem, what would our port look like one day? Can we take that risk?
Finally, we decided to adjust the first portfolio seriously, not to stop investing because of losses, but to change the way we think about it from "choose the best country" to "spread in many countries."
Jam didn't choose just one country stock anymore.
But using ETFs like VEA and VWO to keep ports spread to the whole world. "Ports, it doesn't look the same overtones.
But the feeling has changed so much. The world may be out of control, but our ports... we can control.
On a day when the world is at risk simultaneously, are you still confident in the same port? Let's talk.
