ถ้าใครกำลังชั่งใจว่าจะอ่าน “Twenty Three (23) เวย์ไนท์ไม่ใช่แฟน” ดีไหม ขอแชร์มุมที่เราอ่านแล้วรู้สึกว่าเรื่องนี้เด่นมากๆ ตรง “ความสัมพันธ์เพื่อนที่เลยเส้น” และความ toxic ที่ไม่ได้มาแบบหวือหวา แต่มาแบบค่อยๆ บีบหัวใจคนอ่านค่ะ พล็อตหลักคือไนท์แอบรักเวย์มานาน พอได้คบจริงกลับไม่ใช่ความสุขแบบที่หวัง เพราะเวย์เหมือน “ยอมคบ” โดยไม่ได้รักเท่ากัน สิ่งที่เราชอบ (แต่ก็เจ็บ) คือผู้เขียนทำให้เห็นชัดว่าเวลาคนหนึ่งรักมากเกินไป จะยอมทุกอย่างจนกลายเป็นทำร้ายตัวเอง—ไนท์เป็นแบบนั้นเลย รักจนยอมหมด ยอมแม้กระทั่งความไม่ชัดเจนและการถูกผลักไส ส่วนเวย์…บอกตรงๆ อ่านไปจะมีความหมั่นไส้และอยากเขย่าตัวละครมาก เพราะการกระทำหลายอย่างมันไม่แฟร์กับไนท์ โดยเฉพาะช่วงบอกเลิกและประโยคแรงๆ ที่ทำให้เรารู้สึกจุกแทน แต่ความน่าสนใจคือเรื่องไม่ได้เขียนให้เวย์เป็น “คนเลวแบบแบนๆ” เพราะมันมีเหตุผลของเวย์ซ่อนอยู่ และนี่แหละที่เป็นแรงจูงใจให้ต้องอ่านต่อเพื่อหาคำตอบว่าเวย์ต้องการอะไรกันแน่ ทำไมไม่อยากให้ไนท์มูฟออน ทำไมถึงอยากเห็นเขาเจ็บและเรียกร้อง ใครที่เสิร์ชหาแนว “เวย์ไนท์ไม่ใช่แฟน นิยาย” แล้วกลัวว่าจะเป็นดราม่าทรมานอย่างเดียว เราว่ามันไม่ได้มีแค่ความหน่วงนะ มันยังสะท้อนความสัมพันธ์ที่หลายคนเคยเจอจริงๆ เช่น การคบเพื่อเติมบางอย่างให้ตัวเอง, การทดสอบอีกฝ่าย, หรือการใช้คำพูด/การกระทำทำให้อีกฝ่ายรู้สึกด้อยค่า ซึ่งอ่านแล้วจะได้ตั้งคำถามกับความรักของตัวเองไปด้วยว่า “แค่นี้เรียกความรักไหม หรือเป็นการยื้อกันไว้เฉยๆ” อีกอย่างที่แนะนำก่อนอ่าน: เตรียมใจไว้กับอารมณ์หนักๆ และความรู้สึกสงสารไนท์แบบยาวๆ ถ้าคุณเป็นสายอินตัวละคร จะมีหลายซีนที่อ่านแล้วอยากพักหายใจ แต่ถ้าชอบนิยายวายดราม่าเข้มๆ ความสัมพันธ์ซับซ้อน และอยากรู้แบ็กกราวด์แรงจูงใจของตัวละคร เรื่องนี้ตอบโจทย์ค่ะ ปล. ในภาพปก/คำรีวิวที่เห็นประโยคประมาณ “เวย์บอกเลิกกันไปอะดีแล้ว แต่กับผมมันดียังไง รักฉิบหายขนาดนี้” บอกเลยว่าอารมณ์เรื่องประมาณนั้นจริงๆ—อ่านแล้วเจ็บแบบจุกๆ แต่หยุดยากมาก
