Sleeping Dragons
I drew this picture a week or so ago, tonight I just figured out why it is significant to me. I currently see a sleeping dragon on top of my heart, my joy.
What once was a fierce protector has grown tired, and territorial. My heart is unable to be fully seen. It is time to release the dragon and let me fight for me

In the realm of creative expression, the metaphor of a sleeping dragon can hold significant meaning. It often symbolizes the protective instincts we place around our hearts. As we grow and face life’s challenges, these dragons, once fierce guardians of our emotions, can become stagnant, reflecting our struggles with vulnerability and openness. This artistic representation encourages individuals to acknowledge their emotional barriers and embark on a journey toward self-discovery and healing. The act of releasing this 'sleeping dragon' means allowing oneself to embrace vulnerability, showcasing the importance of emotional honesty and personal growth. Similar to the artist's experience, many people may find that their protective instincts, while initially serving a valuable purpose, can hinder self-expression and connection with others. By understanding and confronting these feelings, one can transform fear into empowerment. This awakening process can lead to deeper self-acceptance and a more authentic representation of one's identity. Art can serve as a powerful tool for exploring such complex emotional landscapes, allowing for both reflection and expression. With themes of resilience and courage, embracing one's vulnerabilities can ultimately lead to profound personal insight and transformation. As we share our truths, we inspire others to embark on their own journey of awakening and self-empowerment.
