I wish I was high school fat now…🫶
St. Louis I’ve noticed every Millennial has a story about a Boomer relative suffocating them with their own insecurities. My sister and I joke about certain comments that were made when we were at our smallest weight as teenagers. Its also been mentioned by a friend or two of mine. You know that “you better stop eating or your butt is going to spread” or “you better slow down or you’ll be big as a house” type comments. Then as heavier adults we actually look back and notice how small we were. I remember the first time I looked at a high school picture after being at a heavier weight and was speechless. I was so small my eyes almost looked like they were sunken. So someone else’s insecurities became my own insecurities. So after 4 pregnancies, a couple bouts of depression, social anxiety, and just plain ole being scared of myself, I decided for my birthday I wanted a better Me❤️. I want to be around to see my kids grow and retire to enjoy the rewards of my hard-work. This is me, all of me. Rolls, cellulite, stretch marks, blemishes and unmade Me ❤️#Lemon8Diary #Lemon8 #weightlosstips #weightlossprogress #weightlosshealthjourney #Lemon8MomsClub #breakinggenerationalcurses #findingmyself #workingonme #MeTime
Many individuals struggle with body image issues shaped by family comments and societal expectations. As a high schooler, I faced pressure regarding my weight and body shape, often feeling insecure. It's crucial to recognize that our self-worth is more than our appearance. In modern conversations about health and wellness, we are encouraged to embrace realistic body standards and prioritize mental health. Accepting ourselves, including our imperfections like stretch marks and cellulite, fosters resilience. Sharing experiences can help lift others and create supportive communities. Techniques like mindfulness, journaling, and engaging in empowering discussions on platforms such as Lemon8 can be beneficial. Understanding that these struggles are common can help cultivate a supportive network, reminding us we're not alone on this journey. Let's empower each other towards healthier mentalities and inspire change in how we view ourselves and our bodies.
