K-Style Caifan (Mi Bibimbap Review)

Tried this during my lunch break recently 🍱

Honestly, it’s a really solid option if you’re on a tight 1-hour lunch — food came pretty quickly and was super convenient.

I’ve been here twice so far and it’s been consistently good 👍

🥩 Must try: Beef rice & potatoes — especially if you’re a beef + potato lover

The highlight for me is definitely the kimchi — one of the better ones I’ve had in SG. Plus… it’s free flow 😭✨

I jokingly told my colleagues I could just eat the rice and kimchi alone, but honestly that’s a little too much “cheapsake” behaviour LOL.

Ended up so full I could barely move.

Would definitely drop by again for a quick and satisfying meal.

💭 Have you tried this before?

... Read moreIf you’re always on the lookout for a quick, satisfying meal that won’t take up your entire lunch hour, Mi Bibimbap at NEX is a gem worth trying. From my personal experience, not only is the food served promptly, but the quality remains consistently impressive even on repeat visits. One highlight that deserves special mention is the free-flow kimchi, which in my opinion stands out among the various options available in Singapore. It adds a spicy, tangy crunch that complements the main dishes perfectly. And for those who appreciate hearty comfort food, the Braised Beef with Potatoes is a real crowd-pleaser; the tender beef and flavorful potatoes create a warming, filling dish that’s very satisfying. The menu also includes other Korean favorites such as Cheesy Chicken Rice Cakes and Stone Bowl Bibimbap variations, catering to diverse tastes. Pricing is reasonable and inclusive of GST with no hidden service charges, making it a great value. The atmosphere is casual, ideal for solo diners or quick lunches with colleagues. The free self-service of side dishes like seaweed soup and kimchi helps enhance the meal without additional cost. If you enjoy trying authentic Korean caifan—that is, Korean-style mixed rice dishes with assorted toppings—this place fits the bill. For someone who often has a limited lunch break, Mi Bibimbap strikes a nice balance between convenience, taste, and portion size. It's definitely become my go-to spot for a fuss-free, tasty Korean meal in Singapore. Whether you’re a fan of beef, kimchi, or simply want a speedy lunch option, I recommend giving it a try. You might find yourself coming back as I have for a quick, fulfilling meal experience.
