... Read moreOkay, so you guys saw the sneak peek of our Glow Ball, but let me spill all the tea on what made it truly glow-tastic! Planning an event with 700+ cake pops is no joke, let me tell you. It was a labor of love, but absolutely worth it to see everyone's faces light up – quite literally! First, those cake pops! We actually ended up with closer to 400+ varieties, as seen in some of the behind-the-scenes snaps (and a few vanished before the official count, haha!). My biggest tip for anyone attempting this many? Prep in stages. Bake the cakes one day, crumble and mix with frosting the next, chill, then roll. Dipping is a whole other beast! We found that using good quality candy melts and keeping them at the perfect temperature (not too hot, not too cool) was key for that smooth, vibrant finish. And don't forget the sprinkles or edible glitter for extra glow! Now, for the 'glow' part that made the night truly shine. The UV lighting was everything! It transformed the whole space. Our 'ROLLIN' IN DOUGH' backdrop wasn't just a fun pun; it really popped under the blacklights, creating an incredible photo op zone. Seriously, if you're planning a glow party, invest in good blacklights and anything white or neon that will react to them. Think glow sticks, neon paint, and even certain white fabrics. We had so much fun with the decor, making sure every corner had that luminous vibe. And a huge shout-out has to go to our amazing GLOW BALL SPONSORS! Events like these wouldn't be possible without community support. Having partners like PENSACOLA PARADE PEOPLE, enSEC PEST & LAWN, COURTYARD Marriott, Paradise LIQUORS, and Margaritas To Go really helped elevate the experience. It shows how local businesses can come together to create something truly memorable. It's not just about the fun; it's about building connections and celebrating together. Looking back, what made this Glow Ball truly unforgettable wasn't just the sheer number of treats or the dazzling lights. It was the energy, the laughter, and seeing everyone fully embrace the 'glowtastic' theme. If you're thinking of throwing your own glow party, remember to focus on a few key elements that will really make an impact – for us, it was the treats and the immersive lighting. And don't be afraid to ask for help or involve friends; it makes the process so much more enjoyable (and manageable!). It was truly a night I won't forget, filled with so many happy memories and, of course, delicious cake pops!
