We live in a construction zone
This is the reality of a busy ass life. We have a half completed home (no complaints here) but because of this it constantly looks like a construction zone, its dusty, there’s dirt literally everywhere even after you just swept but I mean there’s 5 dogs that live here. Today I don’t have anything to do, which is extremely rare I work 7 days a week many times. But man I cleaned this morning! Moved boards swept 900 times, gave the dogs a bath, a complete reset for an extremely busy week of bucket list cakes- yall I’m so excited there’s going to be some amazing stuff this week!
Resets are good for the soul, I did a mental health reset last week and spent a great amount of time in the gym, this week was about getting the house in order and making it less construction-y 🖤 happy Sunday friends
Living in a home under construction presents unique challenges, especially when balancing a busy lifestyle and caring for multiple pets. The presence of constant dust and dirt, as noted by the mention of 5 dogs, requires a diligent cleaning routine to maintain a comfortable environment. Frequent sweeping and tidying, as well as occasional deep cleans like giving pets baths and moving construction materials, are essential to keep the house manageable. Beyond physical cleaning, mental and emotional resets are crucial for overall well-being, especially for those working long hours or seven days a week. Integrating regular mental health breaks, such as gym sessions or quiet personal time, helps reduce stress and improve resilience. This holistic approach to managing a home construction zone involves prioritizing self-care alongside household chores. Additionally, planning ahead for busy weeks—like preparing for creative projects including baking 'bucket list cakes'—can provide motivation and structure. Establishing a routine for both cleaning and self-care ensures the home remains a sanctuary amidst ongoing construction and hectic schedules. These strategies combined help create a balanced lifestyle where productivity and peace of mind coexist despite the surrounding chaos.
