Stop taking bad selfies!!

Your girl takes an ABSURD amount of selfies and I am not sorry! One of my big tips is the type of light you use, yes we all have head that window / natural light is the best. But why??

🌞 Window Lighting

The thing is, you will see a dramatic difference depending what window you use and time of day. Sometimes I do a little lap around my house because the difference can be dramatic. Or if you wanna be more extra, try going in your car and re-position your car based off of where the sun is coming from.

Natural window light is preferred by many selfie enthusiasts because it provides soft, even illumination that reduces harsh shadows and highlights your facial features beautifully. One key tip is to experiment with different windows around your home, as the quality and angle of sunlight vary throughout the day. Morning sunlight might offer a warm, gentle glow, while afternoon light can be brighter and more direct. By moving closer or farther from the window, or even changing rooms, you can find your most flattering light source. Another underrated idea is to use your car as a mobile photo studio. Positioning yourself so that the sun streams through the car window can create a controlled environment for natural lighting, helping you avoid overexposure or unflattering shadows. This method is especially useful on days when natural light inside your home isn't ideal. Remember that direct sunlight can sometimes be too harsh, so softening it by partially closing curtains or shooting during cloudier parts of the day can improve your selfies. Additionally, facing toward the light source will ensure your face is well lit, avoiding unwanted shadows. In summary, successful selfie-taking involves exploring and using natural light creatively. Don't hesitate to walk around your living space or car, observe how light changes, and adjust your position accordingly to capture your best angles. With these practical tips inspired by real experiences, you'll be taking better selfies that truly highlight your natural beauty and style.
