I am a sucker for customization, as you may have seen in some of my previous posts. So here is what my iPad looks like. I got the template for the Lock Screen and wallpaper on Etsy. @✨ Screenary ✨ — Her designs are beautiful.
✔️To Do List: You can use the apple reminders app, or you can use the structured app like I do. This is a really good place to put all of your big and little tasks for the day, so you don’t forget anything. It helps me so much to stay on track with my daily tasks.
✔️Habit Tracker: I use the app Habit. There are so many customization options in the app itself, and then you make it into a widget. I’m trying to get better with self care and my overall health. I absolutely love being able to look at my week right from the screen!
✔️Calendar Widget: I used the app Ermine, which attaches to any calendar you choose to link it to and you have everything that is coming up right there in the palm of your hands, without having to search, open an app, or just having to remember.
✔️Mood Tracker: It’s a widget on the iScreen app. My moods have been something I am always interested in tracking. Just to see what I felt like overall, reflect on what I could do differently to improve my mood. My tracker in this photo is a Debbie downer because I currently have some bulging discs, pinched nerves and ribs out of place and then got sick. So there’s that. 😖
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. And please let me see what you do with your iPad customization, because I want to see them ALL!
... Read moreBeyond just choosing a wallpaper, there's so much you can do to make your iPad truly reflect your style and boost your productivity! If you're like me, you probably want your digital space to feel as organized and inspiring as your physical one. Here are some of my go-to tips for taking your iPad personalization to the next level.
One game-changer for me has been diving deep into Focus Modes. You know how the iPad has options like 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Personal'? Well, you can totally customize these! I've set up different Focus Modes for 'Work,' 'Creativity,' and 'Chill Vibes Only.' What's amazing is that you can link each Focus Mode to a specific Home Screen. So, when I switch to 'Work' mode, my iPad automatically shows a Home Screen with all my productivity apps, a 'To do list' widget, and my calendar. When I'm in 'Chill Vibes Only' mode, it automatically switches to a Home Screen with my streaming app icons, a relaxing background, and maybe a weather widget, making it perfect for unwinding. It's like having multiple iPads in one, tailored for different parts of my day. This has been fantastic for separating work from personal time and really helps me stay focused on the task at hand.
Another fun way to personalize is by customizing your app icons. While it takes a little effort, changing your default app icons to match your chosen aesthetic can dramatically transform your Home Screen. You can use the Shortcuts app to create custom icons with any image you choose. I love finding icon packs on Etsy or Pinterest that fit my color palette – whether it's 'COZY' earth tones or vibrant pastels. This makes my iPad feel so much more cohesive and visually appealing. Imagine your social media and shopping app icons all harmonizing with your overall theme!
Don't stop at just productivity widgets! While 'Habit tracker' and 'Mood tracker' widgets are fantastic for staying on top of things, there are tons of other creative ways to use them. Have you tried a photo widget showcasing your favorite memories or inspiring quotes? Or perhaps a custom text widget with a daily affirmation, like 'feed your soul' or 'GET IT DONE'? I even use a 'notes' widget for quick ideas that pop into my head. Smart Stacks are also brilliant for saving space, allowing you to swipe through multiple widgets in one spot. This keeps my Home Screen uncluttered while still giving me quick access to everything I need.
And for those who love to plan, consider exploring digital planning apps. While the Apple Reminders app is good, using an app like GoodNotes or Notability can turn your iPad into a powerful digital planner and journal. You can download beautiful templates for daily, weekly, or monthly planning, incorporating your 'To do list' and goals in a more interactive way. It’s a fantastic way to streamline your organization and express your creativity.
Finally, remember that inspiration is everywhere! I often browse Lemon8, Pinterest, and even Reddit communities for new ipad ideas and ipadaesthetics. Seeing how others customize their iPads, from their Lock Screen layouts to their unique widget combinations, gives me fresh ideas to try out. It's all about experimenting and finding what works best for your workflow and style. Making your iPad truly yours is an ongoing, fun process!
I'm not creative I struggle putting it together and it looking good
