PREGNANT OOTD
Getting ready pregnant is not easy! But I try to make it work each time 🤭🪩🌸
Hey mamas-to-be! Jo here, and let me tell you, getting ready when you're pregnant is NOT always easy. Some days, just rolling out of bed feels like a marathon, let alone trying to put together a cute outfit! But I've found that even on those tough days, putting a little effort into what I wear can totally change my mood and make me feel like a 'sexy mama' again. Today, I wanted to share my current go-to look from when I was 6 months pregnant – the one you might have seen in my mirror selfie! It’s all about mixing comfort with a touch of chic. I was wearing my favorite soft blue sweatpants (because comfort is non-negotiable, right?) paired with a fitted beige top. The magic touch? An effortlessly cool brown coat thrown over it. It adds instant polish and makes the whole outfit feel less 'loungewear' and more 'fashion-forward.' And yes, my bare belly was visible – I'm really trying to embrace my bump this pregnancy! Completing the look were my trusty light brown high-top sneakers. They’re comfy enough for all-day wear but still look stylish. So, how do I go from "just pregnant" to "sexy mama maternity" style? Here are my top tips: Embrace the Bump: Don't try to hide it! Fitted fabrics like ribbed knits or bodycon dresses can really highlight your beautiful shape. If you're comfortable, don't shy away from showing a little peeking bare belly with a crop top and high-waisted bottoms, just like I did. It’s empowering! Invest in Key Layers: A great coat, cardigan, or a stylish oversized button-down can transform any basic outfit. My brown coat was a lifesaver – it instantly elevated simple sweatpants and a top. Layers also add versatility as your body changes and temperatures fluctuate. **Comfort Can Be Chic: Forget the idea that maternity clothes have to be frumpy. Look for elevated loungewear options – think cashmere blend joggers, stylish knit sets, or even your favorite soft sweatpants paired with dressier pieces. The key is quality fabrics and good fit. Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize: This is where you can really make an outfit your own! A statement necklace, a chic handbag, or a pair of cool sneakers (like my high-tops!) can instantly elevate your look. Don't underestimate the power of a great pair of earrings or a stylish scarf. Confidence is Your Best Accessory:** Honestly, the most 'sexy' thing you can wear during pregnancy (or anytime!) is confidence. Some days it's hard to find, but by putting on an outfit that makes you feel good, even if it's simple, you're halfway there. Remind yourself how amazing your body is! Finding comfortable yet stylish maternity wear can be a journey, but it's so worth it for how it makes you feel. I'm constantly experimenting with new ways to feel myself and embrace this incredible stage. What are your favorite 'sexy mama' maternity style tips? Share them below – I'd love to hear them!
