Gorilla tag water run

... Read moreHey everyone! As someone who's spent countless hours swinging through the trees and scaling walls in Gorilla Tag, I wanted to share some of my favorite tips to really get the hang of this incredible VR game. When I first started, I was clumsy, bumping into everything, but with practice, it became second nature. If you're new to Gorilla Tag, the first thing you need to master is movement. Forget traditional walking; you use your hands to push off surfaces. Think of yourself as a gorilla, pushing the ground behind you to propel forward. It feels weird at first, but once you get the rhythm, you'll be zipping around. I remember my first successful wall climb – it felt like a superpower! To run effectively, keep your arms low and parallel to the ground. Push back and slightly down, almost like you're swimming through the air. Alternate your hands quickly, and you'll build up speed. One of the most satisfying things is learning to 'wall run' or 'wall climb'. This isn't just about pushing off the ground; it's about pushing into walls and then off them. When I'm scaling a vertical surface, I try to grab the wall, push myself up and away, and then quickly grab higher with the other hand. It's all about consistent, small pushes. For horizontal wall running, you need to push sideways off the wall, maintaining momentum. It's tricky, but once you get the angle right, you can traverse long distances without touching the ground. This skill is a game-changer for escaping chasers or reaching high branches. Another pro tip I learned early on is branching. This means using the tree branches to quickly move through the map. Instead of just running on the ground, try to chain together jumps from branch to branch. It’s faster, more agile, and harder for others to tag you. I usually look for a path of branches that I can swing through, using my momentum to carry me from one to the next. It takes a bit of foresight, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Don't be afraid to experiment with different movement styles. Some players prefer a more vertical, climbing-heavy approach, while others master ground speed. I've found that a combination works best, adapting to the situation. My biggest piece of advice? Don't get discouraged! We all started as clumsy monkes. Practice in casual lobbies, watch how other skilled players move, and most importantly, have fun! It's an amazing community, and the thrill of a good chase or juke is unmatched. Keep pushing, keep swinging, and you'll be a pro in no time!
