I recently embarked on the famous Gymshark 66 Challenge, and wow, what a journey it's been so far! For those who aren't familiar, the Gymshark 66 is all about building sustainable habits over 66 days, whether it's hitting the gym, eating healthier, or just focusing on self-improvement. It’s not just about lifting weights; it’s about mental fortitude and consistency. One of my biggest focuses during this challenge has been my training splits, and I absolutely love a good Push Day. There's something incredibly satisfying about working your chest, shoulders, and triceps all in one go. My typical Push Day starts with a solid warm-up, then moves into compound movements like bench press (both flat and incline), followed by shoulder presses – I'm a big fan of seated dumbbell presses for stability. Then I hit triceps with skull crushers or overhead extensions. The key for me is progressive overload, trying to slightly increase weights or reps each week. It really helps to see the progress! Beyond the gym, nutrition is, of course, paramount. And let me tell you, getting my Breakfast right sets the tone for the entire day. I used to skip breakfast or grab something quick and unhealthy, but for the Gymshark 66, I've made it a priority. My go-to has become a protein-packed meal to kickstart my metabolism and keep me full. Think scrambled eggs with spinach and a side of whole-wheat toast, or a high-protein smoothie with oats, berries, protein powder, and almond milk. It’s amazing how much better I feel and how much more energy I have for my workouts when I fuel properly from the get-go. The challenge isn't just about sticking to a routine, though. It’s also about listening to your body, celebrating small victories, and staying motivated. I’ve found that tracking my progress, even simple things like how many reps I completed or what I ate for breakfast, keeps me accountable. Don't forget hydration – water intake is crucial, especially on those intense Push Days. And rest! Recovery is just as important as the workout itself. If you're thinking about starting your own Gymshark 66, my advice is to plan your meals and workouts, but also be flexible. Life happens! The goal is consistency, not perfection. Every day is a new opportunity to make progress. What are your favorite Push Day exercises or go-to healthy breakfasts? Share your tips below if you're also on this journey!
