粉面先生 Mr. Noodles @ Paya Lebar Square B1
Discovered this new China fusion restaurant 粉面先生 Mr. Noodles at Paya Lebar Square basement 1, which the place formerly was the Four Leaves bakery shop.
Once seated down, just scan the QR code, select the foods you want and make payment online.
Since their Signature dish in the menu is the Hunan Fish Noodles soup 招牌鱼粉 $8.90, I decided to order for that.
Upon selected the fish noodles, there are options to order for additional dishes like Snacks 小吃, Fried Skewers 炸串 and Dessert 甜品 at a discounted price.
I selected the Signature cold dessert ~ Osmanthus Honey Tofu Pudding $3.50. (Usual price $3.90)
Seems that there aren't service charges and GST, as the total bill is exactly $12.40.
The pricing is still reasonable, compared to other restaurants in a shopping mall.
I must say the Hunan Noodles are so smooth and delicate, sliced fishes are very fresh and no fishy smell at all. Had checked with the friendly staff that there is No milk added into the soup. There isn't much salt added and only a little bit of MSG. They are using mainly natural ingredients to prepare the broth.
Honestly the soup tastes neither salty nor bland, and is not really oily too. Instead I do feel the soothness for the throat when having it.
If you would like to have a stronger taste for the soup, they have a corner where you can get some Light Soya Sauce, Sesame Oil, Black Vinegar, Red Chilli, Chopped Chilli Pepper, Chilli Oil, Spring Onion, Coriander.
Including the cold appetizers such as Pickled Long Beans, Stir-Fried Dried Radish and Golden Crispy Soybeans.
For the Osmanthus dessert, it should be given a straight 5 star rating. This is the first time I have come across this type of Tofu Pudding which is superb tender and silky. The addition of Osmanthus and Honey makes the entire pudding pleasantly refreshing.
The staff recommends trying another of their Signature dishes ~ Braised Rice Noodles with Crispy Roast Pork, which they got include natural herbs in it.
I believe that their beef dishes should be nice too, just a pity I can't take beef.
Overall the restaurant is satisfactory to visit again for their nice foods, fast serving and friendly staff.
For peeps who love to eat Noodles or China fusion cuisine, can pop by this restaurant when you are working or shopping nearby the vicinity.
