Katong & Joo Chiat Food Guide (Beyond just Laksa 🍜)
Besides the famous Katong Laksa, also checked-in at the other food spots...
✨328 Katong Laksa
It has been years since I came back again for the traditional Laksa.
1) Shredded Chicken Laksa 鸡丝叻沙 $7.80 (recommended)
Flavourful and rich coconut milk broth, and their signature style of shorter strands thick vermicelli noodles which you just scoop and eat with just a spoon. The laksa bowl is served with generous portions of shredded chicken, prawns, soft boiled egg and beansproats.
2) Katong Laksa 叻沙 $7.80 (Small), $9.80 (Large)
The originally popular laksa with fresh clams, prawns, fish cakes, just that it has lesser ingredients.
Both tastes are equally good, with the belachan chilli which gives off an additional level of spicy kick.

✨Ah Yee's Soon Kueh 阿姨粿點
This is considered as the best shop with the traditional Kuehs I have tried.
Ah Yee's Kuehs are all bigger in portion and with satisfying tasty fillings. I especially like their Soon Kueh, Chives Kueh and Yam Kueh.

For chocolate lovers, you can try this pie with the indulgent rich dark chocolate and toasted sliced almonds on top of the pie.

✨Little Farms @ Katong Point
1) Shakshuka $20.00
Tasty breakfast of sourdough toast with marinated tangy tomato sauce, avocado slices, coddled eggs, feta. Good and not too filling for a light brunch.
2) Chicken and Cauliflower Rice $27.00
Uniquely asian delight of fragrant, crunchy (cauliflower) rice with the pleasant smell of ginger, paired with thick pieces of roasted chicken breast with ginger sauce.
The cafe food prices are more towards the steep side, nevertheless it is nice to try it once in a while.
