So glad you found my little corner of Lemon8! As I mentioned, I'm Joi, a 22-year-old HBCU grad, and I'm genuinely thrilled to be starting this journey here. It feels like such a supportive community already, and I'm excited to dive in and share more about myself and what brings me joy, with the hope that it brings joy to you too. My personal motto, 'Joi Today,' isn't just a catchy phrase – it's truly my mission. In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, my goal is to find and share moments of peace, inspiration, and encouragement daily. Whether it's through a scripture that resonated with me, a simple act of self-care, or just a genuine laugh, I believe in embracing the good right now. My relationship with Jesus is central to who I am, and I love exploring how my faith guides me through life's ups and downs. It's been such a powerful tool for me, helping me to understand my feelings, set intentions, and reflect on blessings. I'm planning to share some of my favorite journaling prompts, techniques, and even peeks into my own journal (the less private bits, of course!) to inspire you to start or deepen your own practice. Being 22, fresh out of college, and navigating early adulthood is a whole adventure! From career aspirations to building meaningful relationships, to just trying to keep my plants alive – it’s a lot! I'm here to share my experiences, the lessons I'm learning (often the hard way!), and hopefully create a space where we can all feel a little less alone in this journey of 'figuring it out.'
