At the California Highway Patrol, our commitment to safety, service, and security extends to everyone on the road-including our four-legged friends.
Occasionally, animals like dogs get loose and wander onto roadways or highways, creating potential safety hazards for themselves and drivers alike. Recently, our officers and @chp_altadena office encountered such a situation, but thanks to quick action, we were able to rescue these dogs and ensure their safety. They've been taken to a shelter where we hope they'll soon reunite with their family.
Remember, if you see an animal in distress on the roadway, please don't attempt to rescue it yourself.
