Read moreThe Starting Point Mentorship Program at UC Berkeley is designed to empower California Community College students by providing them with the guidance and support needed for a successful transfer to four-year universities. This unique program pairs mentees with current UC Berkeley student mentors who can offer personalized advice, motivation, and valuable resources. One of the key benefits of the program is the one-on-one mentorship which allows students to explore their academic potential and clarify their college goals in a nurturing environment. Additionally, participants receive important application advice that can enhance their chances of admission, tailored specifically for those looking to transfer during Spring 2025. The program also offers campus tours, allowing students to familiarize themselves with the UC Berkeley environment even before they enroll. Workshops are included to help students develop essential skills for their academic journey, ranging from time management to research techniques. This means that students who join not only benefit from mentorship but also get access to learning experiences that are crucial in their educational path. The digital format of the program ensures that all interested students can participate regardless of their location, making this an ideal opportunity for those currently enrolled in California community colleges. Spots are limited, so students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure their place. For more information and to submit an application, visit transfers.berkeley.edu/startingpoint.
