Japanese Food at Fuji Ichiban Guam
Another stop on my #Guamfood adventures - 📍Fuji Ichiban, Tumon Guam 🍥 #GuamEats #Guam #guam671 #guamtiktokers
My recent trip to Fuji Ichiban in Tumon, Guam, was definitely a highlight of my culinary adventures on the island! I'd heard so much buzz about their authentic Japanese fare, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. If you're like me and constantly on the hunt for delicious and comforting Japanese food, especially when you’re craving a hearty bowl of ramen or some perfectly crispy bites, then this place absolutely needs to be on your list. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. It feels like a genuine Japanese eatery, buzzing with locals and tourists alike, which is always a good sign! I was really keen to dive into their menu, and after a quick glance, a few items immediately caught my eye, especially after hearing recommendations. My absolute top pick has to be their Kimchee Ramen. Oh my goodness, it’s a flavor explosion! The broth was rich and savory, with just the right amount of spicy kick from the kimchi. It wasn't overwhelmingly hot, but rather a comforting warmth that truly enhanced the depth of the ramen. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and it came loaded with tender pork slices and fresh vegetables. It's the kind of dish that makes you forget all your worries, especially on a breezy Guam evening. If you love a bit of spice with your ramen, this is an absolute must-try. Beyond the ramen, I also had the pleasure of trying their Karaage, and it was simply sublime. These Japanese fried chicken pieces were incredibly juicy on the inside with a perfectly golden, crispy coating. Each bite was seasoned beautifully, and it came with a side of zesty lemon, which cut through the richness wonderfully. I recall it being a fantastic deal, perhaps around the $8.00 mark for a generous portion – definitely worth adding to your order as a side or a starter to share. Another intriguing item I noticed on the menu and heard good things about was a dish featuring Sriracha Mayo Chicken. While I didn't get to try it on this visit (too full from the ramen and karaage!), it sounded like a delicious fusion, offering a creamy, slightly spicy twist to classic Japanese chicken dishes. It’s definitely on my list for my next visit, as I'm always up for trying unique flavor combinations. Fuji Ichiban offers a broad range of Japanese staples beyond these, from various types of ramen and udon to sushi rolls, tempura, and delightful appetizers. The portions are quite generous, and I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality and authenticity you receive. It's a fantastic spot whether you're dining solo, with friends, or looking for a casual family meal. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. So, if you're ever in Tumon, Guam, and craving some truly satisfying Japanese cuisine, make sure to stop by Fuji Ichiban. Seriously, that Kimchee Ramen alone is enough to warrant a visit, but you'll find so many other delicious options to explore. It’s a place that perfectly blends authentic flavors with a welcoming island vibe. I'm already planning my return to try more of their enticing menu!
