My go-to texture reset pads

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliating Pads

I’ve always loved the 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, so when it launched in individually packed pad format, I had to try it.

Same effective 2% BHA formula now pre-soaked, travel-friendly, and completely mess-free. 😬

✨ My Skin Type — Normal to dry overall, but my nose area is prone to tiny blackheads and congestion. I use these about once every fortnight, only when needed.

✨ How I Use It

Step 1: Targeted Exfoliation

I start with the textured side and gently swipe over my T-zone, around the nose (especially the tiny gaps beside my nostrils), and my chin. Then I flip to the smoother side and lightly sweep over my cheeks, avoiding eye area.

Step 2: Rehydrate Immediately

There’s no downtime needed. I follow up with a hydrating toner pad to restore moisture right after exfoliating.

Step 3: Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I apply a HA serum to replenish hydration. I love well-hydrated skin — especially after using actives. 😌

Step 4: Moisturiser

Seal everything in to support the skin barrier.

Step 5 (Daytime Only): Sunscreen ☀️

BHA increases sun sensitivity, so SPF is non-negotiable.

✨ What I Avoid After Using BHA

After exfoliating, I keep the rest of my routine simple and hydration-focused.

I avoid layering other acids (especially AHA or Vitamin C) on the same day to prevent over-exfoliation or irritation that may compromise the skin barrier.

✨ Pro Tip

Hyaluronic Acid pairs very well with BHA. BHA clears pores and HA restores hydration. 😊

It’s a balanced combination that helps counter the potential dryness some people experience with exfoliation.

✨ Gentle Reminder

If you’re new to BHA:

• Know your skin type

• Understand what it needs

• Patch test

• Start slow

• Do NOT use daily

Exfoliation works best when it’s intentional, not excessive. 💘

... Read moreWhen starting with BHA exfoliants, many wonder which concentration is best. The 2% BHA formula in Paula’s Choice pads strikes a good balance—effective enough to clear pores and blackheads but gentle enough for sensitive or dry skin types when used properly. If you're new to BHAs, I recommend beginning with a lower frequency, such as once every two weeks, to allow your skin to adjust. This aligns well with my personal routine—using the pads fortnightly to avoid over-exfoliation and irritation. The unique dual-sided texture of the pads is another plus. The textured side targets congested areas like the nose where blackheads tend to form, while the smoother side helps gently treat larger, less problematic areas. This dual functionality made it easy for me to apply the pads thoughtfully without overdoing it. It’s important to complement BHA use with hydration. I always follow with a hydrating toner and a hyaluronic acid serum—these steps help minimize dryness and support my skin's moisture barrier. This combo works wonders for keeping skin balanced and glowing. Also, always apply sunscreen after BHA exfoliation, especially during the day, since BHAs increase sun sensitivity. Skipping this step can undo all the good work and potentially cause skin damage. For those deciding between 0.5%, 1%, or 2% BHA pads, consider your skin sensitivity and goals. Start with a lower percentage if you have sensitive skin or are new to chemical exfoliants, then gradually increase if needed. Paula's Choice offers a helpful range, and their 2% pads have been a reliable choice in my routine. Lastly, patience is key. Consistent, careful use delivers visible improvements in skin texture and clarity over weeks. Combining effective exfoliation with nourishing hydration has truly transformed my skin into feeling smoother and more radiant.

Why use BIODANCE products?
Been trying the Biodance range and finally figured out what I’d use each one for. Quick hydration? Toner pads. Tired-looking eyes? Caviar PDRN eye patches. Need something more intensive? The Real Deep Masks — 3–4 hours or overnight. What I like most is being able to pick according to what
