skin & bones
Wow. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I stared this book. This was my first introduction to Renée Watson and her writing is absolutely beautiful. skin & bones is so lyrical and poetic. It discussed elements of sisterhood, motherhood, faith, healing, and self love all while weaving in past, present and future stories of Oregon’s Black community. First book to make me a little teary-eyed. I encourage everyone to read this book, but especially Black women. 5/5 stars.
