20 rules every realtor should follow (if you want

If you’re in real estate, this right here is the blueprint.

Consistency. Follow-up. Relationships. That’s the game.

... Read moreIn my journey as a real estate agent, embracing a disciplined approach truly changed my results. The foundational rule I learned was to plan my follow-ups daily—setting reminders and tracking every lead prevents them from falling through the cracks. Writing down every lead, as emphasized in the agent playbook, helped me assign priority and nurture contacts effectively. Focusing solely on income-producing activities means saying no to distractions and cold leads that drain time and energy. Instead, investing effort in warm leads yielded better client engagement and quicker deals. Following up fast cannot be overstated; I found that replies within hours or less greatly increased client trust and commitment. Building genuine relationships rather than just focusing on transactions also made clients feel valued and comfortable. Showing value upfront by educating clients on the market and the buying process positioned me as a trustworthy advisor rather than just a salesperson. For instance, pre-qualifying buyers saved time by ensuring I showed homes to serious prospects only. Creating and posting content daily on social media platforms nurtured my personal brand. Video content, in particular, helped clients feel connected with me personally, which is critical as people buy from agents they know and trust first. Lastly, setting weekly measurable goals for calls, showings, and closings kept me accountable and focused, even during slow periods. Protecting my time by limiting spontaneous meetings enabled me to dedicate my energy where it mattered most. These strategies are not just theory but have worked practically in real scenarios. By following these 20 rules consistently, you can shift from being busy to truly productive, closing deals regularly and scaling your real estate business effectively.
