Cute US Open NYC stoop

Stumbled upon the cutest little U.S. Open setup right here on the Upper West Side. Someone decorated their stoop with pink and green tennis balls, rackets, and all the tennis vibes. Such a fun little NYC discovery. #Upper West Side #usopen #design #stoop #onlyinnyc #cute

... Read moreWalking around the Upper West Side, I recently came across an incredibly charming little US Open-themed stoop that truly brightened my day. The creative use of colorful pink and green tennis balls alongside vintage-looking rackets instantly brought the excitement and energy of the US Open right to this quiet NYC street. It’s amazing how a small, thoughtfully decorated stoop can become a joyful neighborhood landmark, sparking smiles and curiosity from passersby. The display even featured a sign with "US~Open 2026 LOVE·ALL @SimonWallat," adding a personal and welcoming touch. This type of community art really encapsulates the love for tennis that pulses through the city during the tournament season. It reminded me that sport-themed neighborhood decorations like this are one of those unique ways NYC locals celebrate major events, blending them into everyday life. If you’re in town during the US Open, I highly recommend exploring residential areas like the Upper West Side. You might stumble upon similar creative setups that add extra charm and character to the city’s vibrant atmosphere. These small, non-commercial expressions of fandom offer a refreshing break from the usual event chaos and bring a sense of intimate community spirit. For tennis enthusiasts and NYC explorers alike, finding these kinds of hidden gems offers a delightful way to connect with the city’s culture and the tennis craze enveloping it. Plus, the use of bright, playful colors and simple decor elements makes for great photo opportunities and fun memory-making moments during your visit. In essence, these stoop decorations are a perfect example of how public spaces can be transformed into personal expressions of joy and celebration, enriching the urban experience for both residents and tourists. Keep an eye out and you might just discover your own slice of US Open magic on the streets of New York City.

Under $10 in NYC: Free US Open event!
Every week before the scheduled games, the US Open hosts fan week! You can watch star players practice and some qualifying games as well. The best part is it’s all free! The only cost would be the subway or LIRR to get there which will probably cost you $5 or $10 round trip.
