This is the timeframe where it all started for Jonahs Got Cake. Here are his 10th, 11th and 12th birthday cakes. Even though I made these for him, he was watching and learning at these ages.
Just a couple of weeks before his 10th birthday, everything had shut down due to Covid. We celebrated his 10th and 11th birthdays at home with just our family, and it was still really fun. He’s always just liked vanilla and chocolate, so all of these cakes are a combination of those flavors.
When he was 10 and 11, we baked more than usual like I think a lot of people did in 2020 and 2021. Jonah made his dad’s birthday cakes those years, and he also made a lot of cookies. In 2022 he started watching cake decorating videos, and later that year decided to start a cake business. He made a plan, ordered a few supplies and started growing his business…what a great experience this has been for him!
