If you’re a fan of the game Super Mario, this world is definitely worth a visit. Even if you’re not a fan or haven’t seen the movie, it will take your breath away.
The Mario World is just so picturesque and so colorful that it is a crowd pleasure, whether you’re a young kid, or a child at heart. They even added mini games all over the place which you can access with the Power-Up Band ($45).
If you have an express pass, the rides maybe enjoyable. If you don’t have one, you might want to reconsider.
The Yoshi ride is really a slow, really really slow, train ride on a Yoshi designed seat. There’s no covers whatsoever. We got lucky to ride it before it poured. Those after us? Not so much.
Bowser’s Challenge is comparable to Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat ride. The only difference is the kind of seat and you’re wearing 3D goggles. If you look past your goggles, you’re really moving at a turtle’s pace. You would probably be better off at the comfort of your own home playing Mario Kart. Definitely not worth 3 hours of waiting. The little kids in line were miserable, some were crying their eyes out because of boredom, others fell asleep. Staff was nowhere to be found in the earlier lines to facilitate. People skipped lines entirely. What a 💩 show. 👎
Pro Tip:
Go early to avoid the long lines (if you don’t have express pass).
Skip the rides entirely.
Go to Harry Potter instead.
Surprisingly, How to train your dragon and Dark Universe had the best rides. Their roller coasters were pretty smooth.
