How does it work??
Reading the Bible can be very challenging, especially when you’re genuinely trying to comprehend all of Gods great works! With the soap method you are not only getting a better understanding but you’re spending amazing time with God as well.
S stands for scripture. In your reading , what scripture speaks to you the most?
O stands observation. What did you observe in your reading ? Have you observed this before in worldly life? What is being said and who is saying it? Why are they saying?
A stands for application? Apply this to your life. How does that scripture relate to your everyday life and habits? Have you observed something in the Bible that is presence in your life today? What applies to YOU?
P stands for prayer. My favorite , let it all out in prayer. Thank God for what he’s allowed you to receive from your reading. Express to him in writing what you can’t form with your mouth. And seal it with Amen so it can be so :)
