My skincare routine
As someone in my 30s, I've learned that skincare is not just about looking good but also about maintaining skin health as it evolves with age. In your 30s, the skin starts to show early signs of aging and may require more targeted care to keep it vibrant. One tip I found valuable is to incorporate products with antioxidants like vitamin C and ingredients that promote hydration such as hyaluronic acid. These help combat environmental stress and dryness, common concerns for this age group. Cleansing remains fundamental. Choose a gentle face cleanser to avoid stripping natural oils, which helps preserve your skin’s natural barrier. After cleansing, applying a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type keeps the skin supple. Weekly exfoliation using chemical exfoliants like AHAs can improve skin texture by removing dead skin cells and encouraging cell renewal, which is helpful when you start noticing dullness in your complexion. Sunscreen is non-negotiable daily—even if you mostly stay indoors—as UVA rays can penetrate windows and accelerate aging. Selecting a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 provides essential protection. Incorporating these habits gradually into your daily routine can make a significant difference. Listening to your skin’s needs and adjusting products accordingly has been key in my experience to maintaining a healthy, glowing face as I navigate my 30s.
