Okay, so I just had one of those 'did that just happen?' moments in Rainbow Six Siege, and wanted to share it! You know how sometimes you feel like you're struggling, but then you pull off something insane? This Amaru Garra Hook play was exactly that. We were on OVERTIME MATCH POINT, stuck in a 5VS1, and I managed to secure the win for the team, finally getting us to WIN ROUND 8 after a really tough match. It felt incredible! For anyone interested in Amaru, her Garra Hook is seriously one of the most unique abilities in R6 Siege. It lets her rapidly grapple up hatches, through windows, and onto ledges, making her super fast and unpredictable. I find it perfect for aggressive pushes or getting into unexpected angles. It's not just for vertical plays; you can use it horizontally too to quickly cross open areas or escape danger. It’s all about catching opponents off guard. So, how do you make the most of Amaru Garra Hook gameplay? My biggest tip is to always be thinking about verticality. Defenders rarely expect an attacker to pop up from a hatch above or below them. For example, if you're pushing a site like '2F Big Tower' or trying to flank from '1F White Stairs,' using the Garra Hook can cut off rotations or create instant pressure. Another great strategy is to use it as an entry tool, but *don't linger*. Get in, get the pick, or plant, and be ready to move. Opening a window with the Garra Hook and immediately peaking can catch defenders completely off guard. Just remember, it's a noisy gadget, so use it decisively! I've learned to pair her ability with grenades or flash bangs to maximize its impact. Grapple up, throw a nade to clear an area or disorient, and then push. Or use it to reposition quickly if you get pushed back by a defender. It's also fantastic for retrieving defusers in tricky spots, especially when time is running out. Just be aware of common spawn peeks or pre-fires on windows you might grapple through. Always drone ahead if possible, or have a teammate cover you while you make your move. It's a high-risk, high-reward gadget, but when you pull off a play like that 5VS1 clutch, it's immensely satisfying. It just goes to show, even when you feel like you're struggling, a well-timed and smart use of an operator's ability can change everything!
