This was our first time fishing, we had no idea what we were doing, but had an absolute amazing time doing it together.

Growing up my dad did an amazing job providing for our family, he truly all he could. But, because of this he wasn’t able to be around to do father and son things with sports or to teach me things like fishing. Now that I am dad, I have an even greater appreciation for how my dad provided for us, but have quickly realized that I can’t teach my son things I don’t know. It’s been very humbling to learn things I feel like I should already be teaching, but it’s been so worth it. After a lot of Youtube and ChatGPT, I was finally able to take my son out to try our hand at fishing. I realized youtube can’t replace experience, as fumbled with the fishing lines and knotts….I literally felt like a fish out of water…ahah! ButC Abide had an absolute blast and couldn’t wait to go back. I can tell we will make many memories fishing together at a pond or lake like this in the future.

Over time I know we’ll get better, but what is even more important is simply being together. Soaking up these special days.
