Day 9 of bringing my Bible to the gym. #motivation #mindset #biblestudy #revival
Bringing my Bible to the gym has been a transformative experience, especially as I continue this habit on day nine. It’s not just about physical strength but also about nurturing my spiritual mindset amidst daily challenges. One powerful insight I’ve gained is the difference between healthy and unhealthy fears, inspired by Proverbs 9:10 where it says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." This fear of the Lord isn't about being scared but having reverence and respect that guards our hearts against anxieties and distractions. In the gym environment, where distractions are plenty, reading these words reminds me to refocus on what truly matters and not be overwhelmed by the fear of judgment from others or the pressures of the world. It’s encouraging to remember that the Bible commands us over 300 times to fear God, which reassures me that this fear is fundamentally about trust and awe toward God’s power and love. This mindset shift has helped me face both physical and spiritual battles with more courage. Even when workouts get tough or doubts sneak in about my progress—both in faith and fitness—I recall that my calling and strength come from God, not from worldly standards or fleeting achievements. Galatians encourages us not to grow weary, for blessings come at the right time, which motivates me to persevere. Even beyond the gym, this practice of reading scripture fuels my day with purpose and peace, reminding me that no matter where I am—valleys low or peaks high—God’s presence is constant and powerful. My journey has become about more than just fitness; it’s about cultivating a holy and healthy fear of God that guards my heart against fear of life’s challenges and helps me live courageously as a person of faith.
