For example, adding a Vitamin C serum like the DR.ALTHEA Vitamin C Boosting Serum helped brighten my skin and even its tone significantly. Vitamin C is well-known for its antioxidant properties and its ability to stimulate collagen production, which can combat dullness and signs of aging. Another game-changer was incorporating a sun protection step with a high SPF, such as the Centella Hyalu·Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+. Sunscreen is crucial because it protects your skin from UV damage, preventing premature aging and pigmentation issues. Many people underestimate this step, but it's essential for maintaining results from other skincare products. I also found using barrier creams enriched with ceramides, like Medicube 147 Barrier Cream, restored my skin's moisture and defenses. Ingredients like Ceramide NP and Hyaluronic Acid deeply hydrate and repair the skin’s natural barrier, especially for sensitive or dry skin types. For gentle cleansing, switching to mild foaming cleansers such as COSRX Foaming Cleanser helped maintain my skin’s moisture without stripping it, which is important for overall skin health. In addition, exfoliation with products containing AHA and BHA acids, like some skincare pads or essences, helped refine my pores and improve skin texture. However, these should be used responsibly based on skin tolerance. What I learned is that it’s better to focus on a streamlined routine with effective, scientifically-backed ingredients rather than overwhelming your skin with too many trending products. Identifying what your skin truly needs—be it hydration, protection, or exfoliation—can lead to real improvement. Sharing experiences and asking for advice, much like in #skincareinsider communities, also revealed personalized insights that helped me adjust my routine for the best outcome.
