Hey everyone! So many of you loved my recent simple nude makeup look, and I totally get why – it’s perfect for those days when you want to look polished without feeling like you’re wearing a ton of makeup. It’s my absolute go-to for an effortless glow that works for any occasion, from running errands to a casual brunch. I've had so many questions about how I achieve this natural finish, so I wanted to share my personal step-by-step guide to help you recreate it at home! First things first, skin prep is key for any nude look. I always start with a good moisturizer and a lightweight primer. This creates a smooth canvas and helps my makeup last longer. For foundation, I opt for something light-to-medium coverage, often a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream, just to even out my skin tone without masking it completely. The goal here is to let your natural skin shine through! I apply it with my fingers or a damp beauty sponge for a seamless, skin-like finish. Next, a little bit of concealer goes a long way. I focus on brightening under my eyes and spot-concealing any redness or blemishes. Remember, we’re aiming for natural perfection, not a heavy full-coverage look. After that, a very light dusting of translucent powder in my T-zone helps to set everything and prevent shine throughout the day, especially if I’m going to be out for a while. For the eyes, I keep it super minimal. A swipe of a neutral, matte eyeshadow shade close to my skin tone, or even just a touch of bronzer in the crease, adds definition without looking overly made up. I curl my lashes and apply one or two coats of a brown or black mascara – whichever feels most natural for my mood. Skip the heavy eyeliner if you want that truly 'barely there' feel! Now for that healthy glow! I love a cream blush in a soft peachy or rosy shade, applied to the apples of my cheeks and blended upwards towards my temples. This gives a fresh, youthful flush. For a subtle highlight, I dab a liquid or cream luminizer on my cheekbones, brow bone, and cupid's bow. It catches the light beautifully without looking glittery. And finally, the lips! This is where the 'nude' really comes in. I usually reach for a lip liner that matches my natural lip color to slightly define and fill them in, then top it with a nude lipstick or a tinted lip balm. My favorite shades tend to be soft browns, warm peaches, or muted pinks – whatever complements my skin tone best. The trick is to find a shade that enhances your natural lip color rather than completely changing it. This simple nude makeup look is all about enhancing your natural features and feeling confident in your own skin. It’s quick, easy, and truly makes you look effortlessly put-together. Give it a try, and let me know how it works for you! I find it's perfect for those mornings when I'm short on time but still want to feel my best.
