Chicken parmesan is a fantastic choice because it combines protein-rich chicken thighs with flavorful Italian breadcrumbs and cheeses, providing a satisfying and balanced dish. When making the chicken parmesan, make sure to pat the chicken dry before dipping it in the egg wash; this helps the breadcrumb coating stick better and creates a crispy texture. Baking at 400° ensures the chicken is cooked through without drying out. Cookies also make a wonderful addition, offering a sweet treat that's quick to prepare. Using soft butter rather than melted butter in your cookie dough is key to getting a chewy texture. Mixing the dry and wet ingredients separately guarantees even distribution before combining. Forming small dough balls ensures that cookies bake evenly in around 13 minutes at 350°, creating soft, delicious bites that even the busiest new parents can enjoy. For extra convenience, these recipes can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for later use. Incorporating such easy-to-follow recipes into postpartum meal prep helps friends focus on recovery while enjoying tasty, homemade food. Don't be afraid to personalize these dishes by adding herbs, adjusting seasoning, or mixing in favorite cookie add-ins like nuts or dried fruit to tailor the meals to your friend’s preferences and nutritional needs.
